Unbelievable Truth- A Saint Survive 70 Years Without Food and Water

Seven decades have passed without any food or water claims a man 83 years of age.  Indian doctors have recently started experiments on him in hopes of improving survivor skills training for men in the military. Doctors for military men hope that their experiments on Prahlad Jani will help soldiers better their survivor strategies.

In a hospital in the western city of Ahmedabad, the long hair and bearded Gujarati man is under twenty-four hour surveillance among testing by thirty doctors.  This testing will go on for three weeks straight. In addition to two cameras set up in his hospital room, he has a mobile camera attached to him for when he leaves his hospital room.  This will guarantee complete validity to his claims of abstinence from any food or water for seventy years.

His brain and heart activity are being measured by electrodes while his body is continuously being scanned. Dr. G. Ilavazahagan, leader of the study says, “The observation from this study may throw light on human survival without food and water.” “This may help in working out strategies for survival during natural calamities, extreme stressful conditions and extra-terrestrial explorations like future missions to the Moon and Mars by the human race.”

Since April 22, when the experiment began, Jani has not eaten or drank any liquids and has not gone to the toilet either. The purpose of the studies, according to Ilavazahagan is to use a medical scanner to understand what energy exactly is supporting Jani’s existence. Jani stated that he meditates and that is where his energy comes from—from within, but Ilavazahagan states the reality that the soldiers will not be able to meditate but at the least they can work towards treating their body the way Jani does in hope of increasing survival chances in emergency situations.

Jani grew up in Charod village in the Mehsana district of Gujarat and wears a nose ring while always dressing in red. He claims that he was blessed by a goddess at the young age of eight allowing him to live the way he is living—surviving without sustenance.
